Let me explain, what cars are the worst in a long line of “regular” cars like Accords, Camrys, etc. We talk about the best ones all of the time but which generations do you all hate the most ? I got the idea from looking at Acura TL’s and everyone hates the beak nose generation, not to say I love it but its not good.
My first though when it comes to a bad generation of a car is the 7th gen 4 door Civic, its ugly and has the least civic charm in my opinion.

The beginning of the end of fun for Honda, and was also grossly inferior to the previous gen in terms of build quality and reliability.

the 3rd-gen Chrysler Sebring & Dodge Avenger. They started out as the “cloud cars,” the JA Chrysler Cirrus and Dodge Stratus. They had their flaws (notably the head gasket problems shared with the Neon) but as a vehicle architecture these:
were pretty well regarded for their time. Car & Driver gushed over some of the details; they had fully independent rear suspension and well designed SLA front suspension, almost like Honda’s. And I’ll remind you (or inform you) that when these cars came out, Car & Driver’s editorial staff was composed of a number of seasoned automotive engineers.
Alas, Nickel-and-Daimler arrived, so the second-gen (JR) cars were rather lackluster, and looked like this:
which is the Stratus, and which is the Sebring? doesn’t fucking matter, they were the same goddamn car. Then Wolfgang Bernhard came in with an edict that Chrysler Car Group interiors needed to be 40% cheaper than they already were. So the 3rd-gen (JS) cars were these utter fucking disasters:
So yeah, the 3rd-gen Chrysler J cars are the worst generation of any regular car. because they’re what you get when you ask Germans what an American car should be.

I present to you the B16 Nissan Sentra.

The TL may have been a love it or hate it design but the new TLX is just “meh”. Hard to hate but equally hard to love at least the TL was big and brash
Plus with no availability of a manual and the awful 9-speed plus the new dumbed down SH-AWD I mourn the more adventurous TL.

A friend of mine in high school had the SE-R version of that generation. We all agreed it was a total shit box and not worthy of the name so we took the badge off with a chisel.

It really did tarnish the Sentra legacy imho. My mom had a B14 and it was a fun little car. The B16 just looked stupid.

The 7th gen is a perfectly fine car compared to the 8th. That split dash is an abomination.

The 8th gen is a perfectly fine car compared to the 9th.

Agreed, thats when I really just started to dislike the civic in general

Truth, lacked all of the traditional Honda-isms

The biggest sin was that the SE-R was CVT only. Who does that?

They are all bad generations, but I think your right, once the germans decided lets make american cars with none of the perks of being a german car

I’ve tuned out pretty much any Civic after the 5th generation.

Those are trash for sure to be honest most run of the mill nissans have been stagnant as far as advances for like 10 years until like 2014 ish

Agreed. Nissan all but ruined the SE-R heritage with that car.

You have a valid point there.

Not car, but truck. The 10th gen F150 (except lighting). The 9th gen was fantastic, great choice of engines. The wonderful 4.9L straight 6 was replaced, and 5L V8 was gone. You got a meh V6 & 4.6L dog shit V8. Visually its awful.

This is the worst generation of Camry. The one positive, noteworthy feature about this generation was the advent of the hybrid model, which - like other Toyota hybrids - would become renowned for its efficiency and longevity.

The two newest generations of Civic are worse to me than the one you pictured.

Not counting the mustang II, this was the worst generation of mustang. My mom had a car just like this one and it seemed so great at the time. In retrospect it was just a fail.
HM: C4 corvette is worst corvette.

It really opis the least likepable F-150. Maybe just because it’s to round. That said I drove a manual V6 2wd one for a while and I love it. It was a ref cab short box. It might not have been a Lightning but I sure as hell drove it like one.

As a previous owner of a 7th gen, and 4th and 6th gen Civics, I can confirm it wasn’t as fun. Something was just missing. Even though it was an EX coupe it was just kinda dull.

Bullshit. The dashes are fine and the 8ths are one of the better handling fwd compacts, that includes the base models. Granted it did cause you to buy tires a bit more frequently but made them more fun to throw around. And to add to it the K20z3 and a red line of 8.2k. Those things love to be strung out and thrashed on. A tad low on hp but love the 2 tone pitch change. If you want to rag on a gen look to the 9th gen, there is a reason the 2012s only lasted a year. Even so the 7th gen was just bland, the Si was horribly under powered and a hatch back no one wanted, the coupes came with rice wings and an automatic, and beige interiors except for the Si stick shift location.

We had a 2003 civic, its only job was to be reliable transportation which it utterly failed. The MINI we replaced it with was far more reliable as well as being dearly loved.

What’s so bad about the 7th gen Civic, other than it being a 15 year old Japanese appliance?
Why is it any worse than a Sentra/Corolla/Neon/Cobalt of the same era?

*clears throat*
What’s this then?
![]() 12/28/2016 at 11:45 |

Either a base model or an SE-R Spec V. The standard SE-R was CVT only.

I think just because the Civic had something to live up to where the others are expected to always be bad. The Civic’s usually shine in that segment but I feel like the 6th and 7th gen Civics did not out shine the rest for once

Of the F-150s this is the worst one in my opinion too. For the most part they really aren’t that bad but they still are really ugly except the lightning was sweet

Don’t get me wrong, the newest ones are bad too but I feel they might be trying a little harder, then again, Honda as a brand doesn’t really do small cars like they used to, they are all about amaricanized cars, except the Fit is good
